Terms and Conditions

  1. These rules relate to the International Poetry competition. PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING THE COMPETITION. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PARENT’S OR GUARDIAN’S CONSENT TO ENTER IF YOU ARE UNDER 18.
  2. The Competition is run by Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK.
  3. Entrant’s parent or guardian, will be required to agree to these Rules before entering into the Competition, by way of a check-box on the online submission form.
  4. The Competition opens on Wednesday 6th May 2020.The deadline for submission is 11 PM (BST) Wednesday 10th June 2020. Submissions cannot be accepted after this time.
  5. Entry to the Competition is free.
  6. Competition is open to young people worldwide.
  7. There are 3 age categories for entry: 5-7 years old, 8-11 years old and 12-16 years old.
  8. Entries must be submitted via the online form on the Website. Please note that all entries must be accompanied by a completed online entry form.
  9. It is not necessary to have good spelling or perfect grammar to enter the Competition. Entries will be judged on originality and creativity, rather than how they are executed. The decision of the Competition judges is final
  10. All entries must be the original work of the entrant.
  11. Only one entry per child.
  12. All entries will be judged by a panel of ‘Judges’ selected by Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK. Winners will be chosen from each age category.
  13. Winners will be notified by email 6 weeks after the closing date.
  14. All winners will have their entries published in an Ebook which will be available on our website (www.quranplan.com).
  15. Each entrant retains the copyright in his or her entry. However each entrant grants Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, broadcast, communicate and make available the entry in all media and in all formats throughout the world, including but not limited to (i) publishing the entry in the Ebook, (ii) publishing the entry on the Website, and (iii) publishing the entry elsewhere online and on any other platforms (whether now known or yet to be envisaged). This licence will be deemed to include all the necessary rights and permissions to enable such use by Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK, to fulfill the prizes and to complete the administration of the Competition.
  16. Each entrant agrees that Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK may at their sole discretion edit, adapt, abridge or translate the entry for the purpose listed in clause 13 above.
  17. Entrants to the Competition consent to the use by Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK of their name, age and country of residence to announce the winners of the Competition and to identify entrants in any publication of an entry in accordance with the Rules. Entrants also consent to the use of their personal information by Quran Plan and National Huffadh Association UK to contact winners.
